We ARE a Disaster Relief organization... And the truth is that there are thousdands of people in every community that live in disaster everday. They struggle to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table.
Over the past 2.5 years, we have had the priviledge of partnering with Our Daily Bread Food Bank in Hammond, LA. Their role is to distribute food packages and hot meals to the Northshore community. Their staff and volunteers are Amazing people with nothing but Servant Hearts! Daily Bread, regularly distributes over 2 Million lbs. of food each year.
Our role has been to help prepare and cook roughly 2,600 meals a week as well as 2,000 per month on Saturdays. The Kitchen team is a close knit family of people who volunteer and dedicate their time to bring Hope and Love to the community through fabulous hot meals.
We couldn't ask for a better partner organization and we will continue to team up to do the work of Jesus to the people who need it.... throughout the YEAR!
